The battle for the top spot is set to begin tomorrow when Chennai Super Kings will host Delhi Capitals at the Chepauk stadium. CSK will be itching to go at the top of the table beating their opponents while the visitors must be beaming with confidence after three consecutive victories. Both the teams will collide for the second time in this season. Chennai Super Kings tamed the Capitals by six wickets last time these two sides met in Delhi.

Chennai Super Kings has been the most dominating team in the history of the Indian Premier League. However, their recent performances don’t match their stature as they have been shambolic on the field. CSK have lost three in their last four league games which resulted in them sliding down to the second position. The defending champions would be eyeing to land a counterpunch when they take on the Capitals. With Dhoni back leading his side, we can expect the home side to win and secure the top spot.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals has been the most impressive side in this edition of the IPL. Shreyas Iyer has led his team well along with Shikhar Dhawan and Kagiso Rabada who have made skipper’s job a lot easier. The table-toppers have won eight out of their twelve encounters so far in this tournament and have sealed the top spot with a better net run-rate than CSK. Initially regarded as a Dark Horse, Delhi Capitals has the potential to clinch their maiden title this season. The Capitals would be hoping to maintain their winning run when they visit Chennai’s fortress.
