Kolkata Knight Riders are set to host Royal Challengers Bangalore at the iconic Eden Gardens in the 35th fixture of the Indian Premier League. The Knight Riders will look to get back to winning ways after three consecutive defeats while the visitors will be determined to register their second win of the season. Both the teams will battle it out for the second time in this season, and KKR emerged victorious in that previous meeting courtesy Andre Russell’s unbelievable knock.

Kolkata Knight Riders started their campaign on a high, but soon they seemed to lose their plot. With four wins and as man defeats in their eight outings, the hosts are lying at the sixth spot in the points table. Dinesh Karthik has not been up to the mark in this campaign, both with the bat and on-field captaincy. The Knight Riders would be hoping to get another win under their belt when they face the Bangalore franchise in front of their home crowd. Their bowlers need to step up and take the responsibility of bowling in the right areas against the batting powerhouse of RCB.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore are going through the worst IPL season in their franchise history. Having lost seven fixtures out of their eight league games, Kohli & Co are languishing at the bottom of the table with just two points to their name. Their bowling woes have continued in this season as well, especially fast bowlers have been poor in the slog overs. Mooen Ali has been the only positive addition in that RCB lineup with his all-round abilities. The visitors would be hoping to land a counterpunch when they square off with KKR.
