After registering the second victory of their season, Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to host Chennai Super Kings in another exciting battle. RCB made a sensational comeback in their previous encounter against KKR, while the visitors will be determined to get back to winning ways having lost their last outing. Both the sides will square off for the second time in this season after the inaugural match of this tournament. Chennai Super Kings thrashed the hosts by seven wickets in the opening game.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has one of the most balanced team on paper in this season, but unfortunately, the results have not gone their way. At this stage, Kohli & Co have to win all the remaining games if they want to stay alive in this tournament. With seven defeats and a couple of triumphs in their nine outings, RCB is languishing at the bottom of the points table with just four league points. Virat Kohli made a bold move in the previous game to omit AB de Villiers from the starting lineup, but the plan worked and eventually, RCB won that game by 10 runs.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super King’s winning spree came to a halt when the Sunrisers hammered them by six wickets. Having lost only their second game in this season, MS Dhoni will be looking to bounce back heading into the 39th fixture of the Indian Premier League. CSK has been the most consistent franchise in the IPL history, and this time as well they have the potential to go all the way in this tournament. Currently, the visitors are comfortably sitting at the top of the ladder with seven wins in their 9 league games.
