Here we are heading to the final showdown of Pro Kabaddi League 2018. The League that entertained and enthralled the fans for around three months has finally come to an end. This has been a season of underdogs from Dabang Delhi to Bengal Warriors to UP Yoddha, they have shown that Kabaddi is a team game, not a commercial individual sport and came out as the dark horses of the tournament. But we will witness two heavyweights going head-to-head for one last bout of the season. Gujarat Fortune Giants will lock horns with Bengaluru Bulls for the final showdown VIVO Pro Kabaddi League Season 6. The last encounter between the two sides in Qualifier 1 gave the Bulls an entry into the finals with a comprehensive, 41-29, victory over the Fortune Giants.

Bengaluru Bulls started their  Qualifier game with an unusual strategy and benched their main defenders Ashish Kumar Sangwan and Raju Lal Choudhary. This move by the coach was heavily criticized every and Bulls found themselves trailing at the half-time mark by 20-25.

In the second half both of them were brought back on the court and with Pawan Kumar Sherawat they started a comeback. Pawan Kumar scored super-raids successively to take them ahead in the final stages of the game. Gujarat Fortune Giants failed to recover from that moment of madness and blew away their impressive start. They could only manage to score 3 points in the last 10 minutes of the game while their opponents took 21 points.

Gujarat Fortune Giants have to keep their feet on the ground this time around and not get overwhelmed by the occasion of finals. Bengaluru Bulls, on the other hand, has a balanced side with the right combination of Youth and Experience. The game will finally boil down to one battle between Bulls offence and Gujarat’s defence.

Gujarat made a strong comeback against UP Yoddhas in the second Qualifiers and booked their spot in the second consecutive finals. They will be looking to correct mistakes from last time and dominate the Bengaluru Bulls from the early stages.

Pawan Kumar and Prashant Kumar Rai are the in-form raiders for their respective teams and can change the game on their own. Defence of both sides will look to work in combinations and will try not to leak easy points to opponents.

We have to wait for the final result but one thing is for sure that a new team will be crowned as the champions of the Pro Kabaddi League. The story is same with every PKL season, we witness the rise new young players taking the Kabaddi world by surprise.
