The fourth edition Pakistan Super League has finally arrived with a lot of excitement and expectations in store for us. Islamabad United, the defending champions, will face Lahore Qalandars for the opening match. The inaugural match of PSL 2019 will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The month-long (14th February- 17th March) tournament will witness six teams battling it out in 34 T20s to lift the PSL trophy.

Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi by three wickets last year in the finals to take the take the trophy home for the second time. Their title defense will begin this season when they face Lahore Qalandars in the opening match. Luke Ronchi will try to lead the side from the front just like the last season in which he scored 435 runs to crown them the champions.

Lahore Qalandars, on the other hand, had a horrible campaign last year in which they finished at the bottom of the points table. They could only manage to win three games in their ten outings last season. After having a forgettable campaign, the Qalandars would be hoping for a better performance this time around.
