We are into the final league fixture of the Super Smash League 2019 as three matches are lined up for the day. The opening match will see Canterbury Kings taking on Wellington Firebirds, followed by a battle between Auckland Aces and Central Districts. The final league game will be played between mighty Northern Knights and Otago Volts.

Canterbury Kings are set to host the Firebirds for the 28th league fixture at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch. While this contest may serve as a dead rubber but both the teams would be eyeing to end their campaign on a winning note. Both the sides will face each other for the second time in this season. Wellington Firebirds won that previous encounter by a massive 65-run margin.

Wellington Firebirds are currently placed at the fourth spot in the league table with 14 points. They have won three games while lost five in their nine outings. The Firebirds lost their last league game against Central Districts by 11 runs. It is a do-or-die situation for the visitors as they look to book their playoff berth. If they failed to win this game, then Otago Volts might get an outside chance to make it in the top four.

On the other hand, Canterbury Kings are languishing at the bottom of the table with only a couple of games in 9 league games. They have had a terrible season so far and would be hoping to end their campaign on a high.
